I think a lot of people are really down on the game already. I think we may have to wait and see how the game actually plays to see how many will actually get the game. Most people are probably waiting on reviews after last years crash landing for Live on the Wii. Hell, as long as we have an upfake and better jumpshot motions and onscreen fluidity I am fine with it for the most part.

In my SI kids magazine Heres what it says about NBA Live 09-

Whats New- NBA Live Academy functions as your own personal training facility. Quickstrike anklebreakers makes it easy to pull of hesitation moves and huge crossovers. Dynamic DNA tracks real NBA players and teams everyday, updating skills to reflect what is actually happening on the hardcourt

Graphics- Jerseys fit better on the players-They dont look like a baloon like they did in the past. The fancy moves are more convincing. Many of the faces got Makeovers, so there are far fewer players who look like the Average Guy Face #192.

Playability- The controls feel more responsive this year, espcially when pulling off special moves like the pick-and-roll. An added bonus: Your Teamates actually do what you need them to do while excuting plays!

BOTTOM LINE: WHICH GAME SHOULD YOU BUY?
NBA Live 09: A- "The best version of Live up to date"

NBA 2K9: B "Same thing as last years but with updated rosters"

NBA 09: B- "The Controls are too simple I only recomend for beginners"

BTW these are the real grades in the magazine but the "quotes were all mine"

Here is the problem, what Si and every other preview is talking about the 360/ps3 version.
Not much is being said about the wii version. It sucks cause it is our only option if we want to play basketball. But everything you read mentions nothing of the Wii. There is no DNA etc in the wii version for instance? Why? I guess we will know soon enough.
